Dear Gray Anthony Cobb II,
You were our first born and we had waited a long time to have you. We were already married 7 years and couldn’t wait until we could welcome a baby of our own into this world. God sent us you and you couldn’t be more perfect! I cried when I heard your heart beating for the first time at the ultrasound, what a miracle it is to see that. I promised right then and there that I wouldn’t complain about being pregnant once, because this would be the only time that I would be able to aid god in a miracle. When we found out we were having a boy dad said, “I always wanted a little boy to play cars with” I was also very happy thinking about the bond boys have with their moms.
You came on your due date. They started inducing in the morning and you were born at 8:30 p.m. We were so excited to meet you. It was only your father and I in the delivery room. We wanted it to be special time for the three of us. We had so many people out in the waiting room and when they entered the room they were also in awe of you. You were quite precious! You were quiet and loved the heating lamps while they cleaned you up. You got a 9.9 out of 10 for the newborn test, the nurses said nobody could get a 10 because we lived in Colorado and the altitude was too high. We were very thankful for the test results because your health because that was the most important thing to us. I just held you tight and couldn’t put you down. We brought you home and it felt so surreal to have such a beautiful baby in our home. We cared for you so well! You had soothing music at night while you slept, and a heater going while we gave you a bath. But most of all you had so much love from your father and I. Here are five virtues that we would love you to live by in your life,(1) Respectful yourself and others
(2)Empathy for others
(3)Responsibility for you own actions
(4)Self-reliance.
(5)Make good choices
